I am a Capricorn, born in 1969 and raised in Seattle, Washington, USA (supposedly, into what is called Génération Bof ). I had a rather mischievous, yet pleasant and adventurous childhood, and graduated from Shorewood High School in 1987. I took some time off, and then received my baccalaureate in 1995 at USU in developmental psychology and gerontology. I got married in 1993, had a child in 1996, and we moved back to Seattle in 1998. In 2003, we all moved to Portugal, and in 2005 I got divorced. I stayed in Portugal until 2007, and returned, once again, to the Seattle area. Despite the miles between us, I have a strong bond with my child, and I love being a dad.
My education notwithstanding, I have been a freelance web designer since 1995. My girlfriend and I own a design firm together called Blue Moon Design.
I enjoy listening to music, roasting coffee, reading, cooking, kayaking, biking, camping, stargazing, watching films, playing the baritone ukulele and harmonica, and singing. My interests include design (particularly web design and web application interfaces), coffee, nature, minimalism, science, forensic anthropology, photography, history, magic, amateur theatre, environmentalism, animals, gardening, computers, astronomy, mythology, archeology, and travel.
Some of the bands & artists I like include Belle & Sebastian, Apples in Stereo, Death Cab for Cutie, Camera Obscura, Cocteau Twins, Dead Can Dance, The Pogues, Tom Waits, Nick Drake, Camper van Beethoven, The Beatles, Chet Baker, Johnny Cash, The Zombies, The Innocence Mission, David Bowie, Iron & Wine, The Beautiful South, R.E.M., The Velvet Underground, The Smiths, X, and The Knitters.
Well, that all fit quite nicely in a nutshell. Stay tuned for the indie film, coming next summer.
